Weather station
The Council's weather station is located on the roof of the Dunedin Public Art Gallery in the Octagon, central Dunedin. The station's wind vane is clearly visible from the street near the statue of Robbie Burns.

- Height above sea level: 28 metres
Installation
The weather station was installed by MetService over two days, 14 and 15 December 2006.
Use of Data
The station and the data it generates is owned by the Dunedin City Council.
