Working Bee at the Patch
Don't be too put off by the 'Working' part, we tend to chat quite a bit, and snack on our lunches (which sometimes includes food grown at the Patch). Occassionally, there'll be a talented musician or two.
Kids are always welcome, plenty of room to kick a ball around, nibble on the delicious white strawberries, or help in the garden. Wonderful area for lazing around, or joining in on the fun.
Usual activities include:
- Composting
- Weeding
- Digging
- Meeting people
- Sharing tips / advice
- Eating
- Playing
No need to stay for the whole 4 hours either. Bring snacks and drinking water.
The garden is in Albertson Avenue in Port Chalmers - keep an eye out for the signposts.
