2009 Octagon New Year's Eve Concert
On 31 December 2009 Dunedin will come alive in the Octagon to celebrate New Year's Eve.
This event is geared to families and all ages with three local bands performing live from 9.30pm until 12.30am.
At midnight all eyes will be on the Town Hall clock followed by a spectacular fireworks show.
Food stalls will operate to tempt and delight everyone from early evening.
The Octagon and surrounding roads will close to moving traffic from 3pm, however the Lower Octagon will close earlier in the day to enable contractors to work in a safe environment.
Licenced premises will extend their areas and a full liquor ban will be enforced within the event area.
