We invite you to support us in ensuring the future of the Dunedin Botanic Garden by becoming a member of the Friends of the Dunedin Botanic Garden Inc.
What we do
Our aims as Friends of the Botanic Garden
- Foster interest in and promote the development of the Dunedin Botanic Garden.
- Provide facilities that cannot be funded from regular grants.
- Preserve the integrity of the Dunedin Botanic Garden.
How you can participate
- Become a member (see below).
- Undertake voluntary work in the Dunedin Botanic Garden and the information centre.
- Donations, bequests and legacies are gratefully received. Donations of $5 or more qualify for an income tax rebate.

Commercial
- Yearly - $50.00
- Life membership is open to any commercial business
Family
- Yearly - $20.00
- Life (once only) - $400.00
- Family membership is available to an adult with children under 18 years of age or to two adults with or with out children under 18 years of age living together as a family.
Individual
- Yearly - $15.00
- Life (once only) - $300.00
- Any individual, partnership, or kindred body is eligible for membership as an individual member.
Student
- Yearly - $5.00
- Student membership is open to any individual 25 years or under who presents evidence of enrolment in any course of study approved by the committee.
Names and addresses will be published in the newsletter unless requested otherwise. Names and addresses will be used for membership purposes only.
Volunteers are always welcome
We offer our voluntary services to the Dunedin Botanic Garden. Some of the areas we help with are fund raising projects, committee membership, publicity, plant sales and practical tasks. In particular, we staff the Botanic Garden Information Centre and rely on volunteers to help.
If you have any special talents you wish to share we would love to know about them.
