Cemeteries and Crematorium Fees - from 1 July 2008
There are different fees and charges associated with Dunedin's various cemeteries and the crematorium. Plots cannot be pre-purchased or reserved. They must be purchased at the time of a death.
All fees are generally paid either before or at the time of a burial or cremation. In some cases, we may waive cremation fees for an indigent person. The application must be made at least 48 hours before the cremation, and have been investigated and approved by a Justice of the Peace.
