Cemetery office and opening hours

There is always someone in the office during office hours who will be able to help you through the process of arranging a burial or cremation.

The office hours at Anderson's Bay Cemetery and Crematorium are:

Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

If you need to contact the office outside these hours to make a funeral or chapel booking, contact us to make the arrangements. Bookings can be made 24 hours a day.

The office is closed to observe the following holidays:

New Years Day
2 January
Waitangi Day
Otago Anniversary Day
Good Friday
Easter Monday
Anzac Day
Queen's Birthday
Labour Day
Christmas Day
Boxing Day

Cemetery Hours

The cemeteries are open seven days a week but there are gates at the Andersons Bay, Green Park, Northern and Southern Cemeteries. These gates are open from:

8.00 am to 5.30 pm from 1 April to 30 September
7.30 am to 7.30 pm from 1 October to 31 March

If you find yourself locked in the cemetery after hours, contact us and we will arrange for the security contractor to come and let you out.
