Moana Pool information
Moana Pool has a range of swimming areas, a multitude of fitness facilities, lots of training courses and heaps of entertainment for children.
The tepid pools in Lower Moray Place, built in 1914, were not meeting the growing needs of Dunedin. At a cost of approximately 450,000 pounds, Moana Pool was built in the early 1960s on the site of the old Moana Tennis Club. The new facility opened on 14 November 1964 and was of Olympic dimensions of 165ft by 58ft.
