BBQs

We have two BBQs that you can hire. They are located on the sun terrace behind the leisure pool.

Car parking and bike racks

There is car parking for over 150 vehicles. Two mobility car parks are located at the front of the building, as is motorcycle parking. There is a bike rack located at the entrance to the facility.

Family change area

We have nine individual family change areas, two with wheelchair access. They are located near the learners pool.

Early Learning at Flippers

Flippers is a fully licensed early childhood centre that provides full time, part time and casual care for children from birth to five years of age.

We have five fully trained teachers and one teacher in training. All our play and learning areas are modern and bright with lots of equipment and resources.

Your child will have an individual learning plan under the curriculum Te Whariki and we encourage a partnership with parents/whanau.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a fun and interesting learning environment that stems from your child's interest and family input.

Food / drink facilities

• Vending machines stocking chips, chocolate, soft drinks etc
• Coffee
• Sandwiches and cakes available at reception (week days only)

Lift access

The lift access is located in the corridor leading to the leisure pool.

Lockers

There are coin-operated lockers available around poolside, the charge for these are $2 for 3 hours. Unsecured lockers are also available for customers to use these are free of charge.

Lost property

Lost property is kept for 2 months. Please contact reception.

Meeting rooms

• Poolside room features: Tables, Chairs, Sink, Kettle, Microwave, Easy access to swimming pools
• Corner room features: Tables, Chairs, Sink, Hot Water Zip, Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, TV, Whiteboard, Folding doors so area can be divided into two rooms

Moana Pool Swim Shop

Moana Pool has a fully equipped swim shop stocking a huge range of swimwear and swim accessories:

• A great selection of goggles stocking styles that cater for the junior swimmer to the elite swimmer and everything inbetween. We also provide sample goggles to try in the shop, helping you achieve the best possible fit
• Swimwear is catered for in most sizes for men, women, boys and girls.  A great range of styles are available stocked from three major swimwear companies TYR, Speedo and most recently an exciting European range from Arena. We do not however stock toddler size swimwear as they only need to wear 'Little Swimmer Nappies', which can be purchased at reception
• Accessories available include hand paddles, pull buoys, ear plugs, nose clips, aqua jogging belts, chamois towels plus many more.  We try to stock most things and we can look into any special requests
• We have a specialised Triathlon Wetsuit fitting and hiring service. Wetsuits can also be purchased in the shop
• A small range of clothing is available including rash tops
• Souvenir items such as Moana Pool towels and swim caps
