Reimbursement for landfill use

The DCC is on the search for not-for-profit groups who have used DCC landfills this year and haven't claimed reimbursement.

Groups and organisations involved in community work on a non-commercial, non-profit making basis can receive a refund of up to $400 from the DCC to cover the cost of landfill use by supplying tax invoices dated July 08 to June 09. $5000 is budgeted each year and, if not enough groups apply, the remaining money is shared between those who have already applied with invoices above $400.

Those who have already received a grant this year include the Mornington Scouts, Cargill Enterprises, the Hospice, Mosgiel Abilities Resource Centre and the Salvation Army.

To apply for the grant contact Community and Recreation Services Administration on 474 3868 or write to Dunedin City Council, Community and Recreation Services, PO Box 5045, Dunedin with landfill receipts dated from July 2008 to June 2009.
