Mosgiel Water Ban Lifted

A drop in the daily demand for water from Mosgiel residents has enabled the DCC to lift the water restrictions which have been in place since December 2009.

Since then Mosgiel, Kinmont, Braeside, East and North Taieri and Wingatui consumers have been obliged to restrict watering activities to the hours between 8.00 pm and 8.00 am.

In lifting the water restrictions consumers are reminded of the need to manage supply against demand within existing water consent limits - particularly at this time of year.

Consumers are asked to consider the efficient use of water which will help avoid imposing further restrictions later this summer.
