Online recruitment solution wins award
At the recent Association of Local Government Information Management symposium, the DCC's new online Human Resources recruitment solution was awarded first place in the Best New Feature on a Website category. This category is a people's choice award, meaning it is voted for by other council staff around the country.
The online recruitment solution took the shape of an online job application form. It was a collaborative effort between the web team, Human Resources and project management, with testing done by the Information Systems department (now known as Business Information Systems).
Since the form went live on the DCC website in February, it has become the most popular method of applying for jobs at the DCC with about 65% of applicants using the form.
