Flight vouchers will have ripple effect
The Dunedin City Council's Economic Development Unit's "Bring a VIP client to Dunedin" will benefit more Dunedin businesses than just those that received the vouchers, according to one winner.
Mark Scorgie, Managing Director of Gourmet Ice Cream Co Ltd, says, "We're going to bring our North Island agent down so he can become acquainted with our new range and set things up for the North Island release in January. We'll get him down in December and show him some real Dunedin hospitality! He's the agent for two other Dunedin businesses, so we'll get together and this promotion will benefit three local businesses, not just ours."
Drawn from more than 50 entries, the winners were:
- Allied Press
- Areograph Limited
- Arthur's Tours
- Benthic Science Limited
- Bottom Bus Ltd
- Bush Road Ltd
- Donaghys Industries Limited
- Farra Lift Components

- Konstruct Clothing
- NHNZ - Games Unit
- Oritain Global Ltd
- Otago Venison Ltd

Each received a $500 flight voucher and access to 26 deals ranging from free accommodation and meals to great discounts and "two for one" deals on entry fees to local attractions. The winners have two months to bring their VIP clients to Dunedin, which will be followed up by reports on the results.
