How to get your impounded dog released
Once you have established that your dog is in the pound you will need to:
- Go to the pound, which is next door to the SPCA and confirm that it is your dog.
- Contact us to advise us that your dog is in our pound. If you come, in you will be able to pay your release fees and take your receipt with you to pick up your dog. If you call, we will be able to let you know how much the fee will be.
- The dog may need to be microchipped or registered before it can be released. We will discuss any further requirements with you when you come in to pay the release fee.
The ranger will be at the pound at certain times. When you arrive to pick up your pet, go straight down to the pound building - do not wait at the gate.
