Cycling is growing in popularity in Dunedin and is increasingly becoming an area that needs our attention. We have strategies in place to encourage cycling as a means of transport as well as campaigns to make it safer.
There are many reasons why people cycle - fitness, environmental factors, affordability, socialising... The list goes on. These pages will provide some information about what we are doing to make our roads safer for cyclists, where you can get to on your bike and what to do if you see motorists being unsafe.
