Parking schemes and permits

We have a number of schemes and permits operating in Dunedin. If you think you need a permit for your planned parking use contact us to discuss your needs.

Events

For events like conferences, shows or funerals, you can either write to or contact the Customer Services Agency, in the Civic Centre with the details of dates, numbers of vehicles involved and areas involved. We will try to help with your parking requirements.

Permits for road or building works or removal vehicles

Permits are also used for reserving parking areas for building work or road work purposes, or if you need to park in an area to move furniture, objects etc. These are only available for goods vehicles except in exceptional circumstances.

Exceptional circumstances

If you have exceptional circumstance, you need to apply for a permit in writing detailing your exact requirements.
