Appealing a resource consent decision
When a resource consent is processed on a notified basis, an applicant or a submitter may appeal the decision to the Environment Court. The appeal may be against all or part of the decision, and must be received within 15 working days of the decision being received.
The appeal needs to be filed with the Environment Count, with a copy served on
- Dunedin City Council
- The applicant
- All submitters
There are procedures prescribed in sections 120 and 121 of the Resource Management Act 1991, and these must be followed, or your appeal may be invalidated. We recommend you engage a resource management professional who will be able to assist your appeal.
