Roads and footpaths - about us
The Dunedin City Council maintains all public roads and footpaths, except for those roads that are part of the State Highway network - such as the one way systems.
General maintenance activity is delivered through a number of multi-year contracts that ensure the city streets are well maintained, clean and in a safe condition.
The Council's Annual Plan provides detail each year of the major maintenance programme expenditure and new capital improvement activity planned to maintain and develop the city's transportation network to meet current and future needs.
