Northern water schemes

The Northern Schemes encompass the water supply areas that service Waitati, Warrington, Waikouaiti, Karitane, Merton and Seacliff. The areas are currently serviced by three separate systems:

  • Waitati
  • Warrington
  • Waikouaiti, Karitane/Merton/Seacliff

Which areas receive fluoridated water?

At this stage, the Northern schemes do not receive fluoridated water. When the new pipeline is commissioned, fluoridated water will be piped from Mt Grand water treatment plant.
