Time for nine holes before lunch? There are eleven golf courses to choose from or even just a visit to the driving range might be enough to keep your hand in.
A wander around the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame will take you back in time to meet some of New Zealand's legends and explore the history of our sports mad nation from a different perspective.
Round off your day with dinner at The Terrace where you will be able to watch match of the day, whatever it may be.

If you have timed your holiday to fit around a rugby match, you can spend the day preparing for kick off by taking a sea kayak tour of the Peninsula. This will take your mind off the anticipation and you will see some of Dunedin's rare wildlife.
Or take advantage of Otago Harbour being one big long wind tunnel. Windsurfing is a great way to while away those pre match hours. You can hire gear or bring your own.
Head to the 'Brook for the match!
Finish your day with a beer (to commiserate or celebrate) with the locals at one of Dunedin's renowned pubs.

Start with a refreshing swim at either Moana or St Clair Hot Salt Water Pool. Both are easily accessible from the Octagon and you will start your day invigorated.
Take a charter fishing trip from Karitane. Just half an hour out of Dunedin, you will have the chance to dive, fish and swim.
If you have any strength left, head out to Nicols Falls to see the glow worms. This one-hour walk is best just before dark and will leave you plenty of time to get back for dinner.

Have breakfast in Roslyn. From here, it is an easy drive out to your personal, tailored fly-fishing trip on the Taieri Plains.
