The weight of goods loaded at Port Otago has increased by 26% between 2006 and 2007. Tauranga loads the most export cargo, with Auckland and Dunedin leading the way in the increase in value of goods loaded.
This increase in value is provided by dairy produce while logging, wood products and dairy produce contribute to the increased weight of cargo loadings.
