Tertiary students
This indicator measures a city that actively promotes itself and its businesses.
Vision
A city that encourages strong local business, employment growth, and attracts increasing numbers of new businesses and tourism.
How are we doing?
Tertiary education is Dunedin's major industry in terms of its contribution to Dunedin's GDP. Our economy relies on growth in this sector so the number of students enrolled at tertiary institutions is significant.
The total number of students enrolled at tertiary institutions in Dunedin has increased despite a small decline in 2006 and 2007.
