Each year the Otago Peninsula Community Board produces a Community Plan that describes the area, its environment, community and its industries.

The Community Plan also outlines what goals the Otago Peninsula Community Board aim to achieve for the future year.

Irene Scurr (Chair)

Irene is Chair of the Otago Peninsula Community Board. After farming full time for 35 years, Irene has semi-retired to a 24 ha lifestyle block on Otago Peninsula.

Irene is a Rural Support Coordinator and a teacher of Leadership Skills.

Christine Garey

Christine Garey brings to her role as a community board member a background in teaching, management, marketing and local government. She has a proven track record working on community projects.

She will work to strengthen the sense of a Peninsula community, through support of local projects as well as improving infrastructure; mindful of the needs of not only those who live on the Peninsula but also of visitors, and the wildlife and environment they come to see.

She is committed to working effectively to make a difference to the Peninsula.

Natalie Karaitiana

Natalie is a member of the Otakou Maori Women's Welfare League, and the Otakou Runanga Executive.

She is also Otakou Runanga Executive representative on the Okia Reserve committee and Board of Directors of Methodist Connect.

Her interests include her family, photographs/digital Artwork; and lifestyle block land management.
