Each year the Strath Taieri Community Board produces a Community Plan that decribes the area, its environment, community and its industries.
The Community Plan also outlines what goals the Strath Taieri Community Board aim to achieve for the future year.

Elected Members
Barry Williams (Chair)
Barry is the Chair of the Strath Taieri Community Board. He is the member of many local groups including the Middlemarch Singles Dance committee, the Strath Taieri Rugby Club (of which is a life member), the Otago Country Rugby club.
Barry is a board member of the Otago Rugby Football Union. He is also a member of the Vintage Machinery club.

Joan Wilson (Deputy Chair)
Joan has been a farm owner for 29 years. She has been a member of Rural Women New Zealand for the past 30 years and has held Branch, Provincial and Regional offices. Joan is also a playing member of the RSA Taieri Pipe Band.

Russell Anderson
As a young person, Russell worked in rural New South Wales. He is currently a livestock farmer and has been involved in farming politics.
Russell was educated at Outram Primary School and John McGlashan College. He has been a member of the Presbyterian church for 45 years. Russell has been a member of the Lions Club of Taieri for 30 years.
He is also a member of the Outram Bowling Club, plays regularly and has participated in the Dunedin Masters Games.

Bales Elliot
Bales works as a farmer, gaining a diploma in Agriculture in 1964. Bales is currently a member of Federated Farmers and the Lions. Bales lists skiing and travel as some of his favourite leisure time activities.

Lesley Peddie
Lesley has been employed in both kindergartens and pre-schools. She has served on a number of committees including the President Hyde Branch Rural Women NZ (member since 1976), President Mid Otago Provincial Rural Women NZ and is a member of the Maungatua Presbyterian Board Managers, the Hyde Domain Board Member and Treasurer.
Lesley is a retired tennis player, patchwork and quilter, lazy gardener and a beginner at outdoor bowls.
