Councillor Neil Collins - South Dunedin Ward
Neil Collins was awarded the Queens Service Medal in 1990 for services to the community. He is a well known radio and television broadcaster in Dunedin and has hosted 8 Telethons and 14 radiothons in the Otago area. He is the author of several travel articles. A life member of the Otago Radio Association and Patron of the Otago/Southland Camellia Society, he is also a trustee of Age Concern and a board member of the Fortune Theatre.
His interests include music, rugby union, cricket and gardening. Councillor Collins was first elected to council in 1989.
