Councillor Teresa Stevenson - Cargill Ward
Teresa lives in North East Valley and has a particular interest in youth, the low incomed and ensuring that Dunedin city offers quality of life, in particular to the less advantaged.
She has an interest in:
- Community economic development, collectives and new creative businesses. She previously managed the COBS barter system in Dunedin.
- Events that celebrate Dunedin's successes and talented eccentrics. She started and ran the ID fashion show for its first 3 years (2000 at Bennu Cafe and Bar, 2001 & 2002 at the Railway Station with Tim Pollock).
- Community development in particular improving Dunedin's housing stock.
- Dunedin Planning matters to help our city cope with climate change and take advantage of new sustainable opportunities.
Teresa previously owned a comic shop, has studied many subjects including accounting, marketing, social research and is currently finishing her masters in Planning.
