Application description	To undertake large scale earthworks on Flagstaff Hill, Port Chalmers to stabilise the northern and eastern faces of the hill. Approximately 45,000m3 of earthworks are proposed and excavated material is to be transported to a disposal site or storage site either by road or rail. The application is to be assessed as a restricted discretionary activity under the operative District Plan. Under the proposed Second Generation Plan there are no relevant rules in effect. An assessment of effects, including specialist geotechnical and landscape reports, is included with the application.
