| Application description | Resource consent is sought for additions to an existing two bedroom residential unit, including a bedroom, ensuite and dining area. The proposal is in breach of the side yard and the height plane angle requirements. Plans and elevations of the additions are included in the application. The proposal is assessed as a discretionary (restricted) activity under the Dunedin City District Plan. The Council’s discretion is restricted to the condition or conditions with which the activity fails to comply. The site is zoned Residential 1 and currently contains an existing single storey, two bedroom dwelling with a semidetached single garage located on the south-western property boundary and a flat north facing courtyard area to the rear of the dwelling.
