Logan Park Recreation Reserve management plan review Stage 1

Logan Park Recreation Reserve map

We’re asking for the views of residents in the wider Dunedin area on the future of Logan Park, a sport and recreation hub in North Dunedin. Your feedback will help shape a draft recreation reserve management plan for the park. There is currently no site-specific reserve management plan for the park.

Why do we need a management plan for this area?

Under the Reserves Act 1977, we’re required to develop a management plan to ensure Logan Park is properly managed. Under the Act, we must consult with the public when we create or review a reserve management plan.

This plan will outline our role in current and future planning, development and management of the area. It will allow us to respond to our community’s changing needs, introduce best practice models and trends and enable efficient and effective use of the area.

Have your say - Stage 1

Feedback is now closed on 29 May 2023 for this consultation. A big thank you to people who contributed and we’ll continue to involve stakeholders in this consultation.

Parks and Recreation staff are now reviewing feedback and preparing a draft management plan. Later in 2023, the draft plan will be notified for public consultation, with details about how to make submissions.

What happens next?

  • The submission period was from Monday, 1 May to 5pm on Monday, 29 May 2023.
