Community Partnerships

The Community Partnerships Team provides advice and support to the Dunedin City Council (DCC) and elected members on a wide range of community matters, including community development, grants, volunteering, and youth issues.

The team administers a range of DCC community grants and offers guidance to community organisations seeking support, information, or funding opportunities.

For information about community funding and grants, click here.

The team works alongside a diverse range of communities and organisations across Dunedin, helping them achieve their goals and strengthen community wellbeing. This includes working with Māori, Pasifika, youth, social service agencies, schools, disability communities, agencies supporting older people, migrant and former refugee communities, and place-based community groups.

Community Partnerships also provides support to Council-mandated advisory groups for youth, disability, and former refugee communities. In addition, the team coordinates hundreds of community projects each year through programmes such as Keep Dunedin Beautiful, Task Force Green, and Enviroschools, working closely with volunteers and local communities and residents.

The team champions the DCC’s Social Wellbeing Strategy and Ōtepoti Youth Vision, and provides administrative and development support to the Dunedin Youth Council.

For assistance or to speak with a member of the Community Partnerships Team, please contact the DCC on 03 477 4000.
