Adopted by Council in August 2023, the Ōtepoti Live Music Action Plan is a strategic framework designed to support sustainable creative practices and development of artists, audiences, the live music eco-system, and live music infrastructure in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
This strategic document is accompanied by an Implementation Plan which contains a suite of actions for Dunedin City Council to lead out. This was developed in collaboration with local music communities and will be reviewed and updated as actions are carried out and priorities for live music in the city evolve.
One of these actions was the establishment of a Music Advisory Panel to advise and support Council in its implementation of the Ōtepoti Live Music Action Plan (see Terms of Reference below). The panel comprises community representatives and elected officials who bring their experience, knowledge, and passion for live music to the table. The current members of the panel are:
