These can be presented at any DCC Customer Service Centre (where the application can then be submitted) or at the offices of Age Concern, 9 The Octagon, Dunedin or Grey Power, 211A King Edward Street, South Dunedin. If applying by post or online once the license has been verified, the applicant must include a copy of both sides of their licence and proof of residency.

How to apply for this permit

You must apply in person for the 75+ Parking Vehicle Permit, as driver’s licences must be sight verified before the application can be submitted. There are two ways you can apply.

In-person with DCC Customer Services

The first option is to visit a DCC Customer Services Centre (including our public libraries) with your driver’s licence and proof of residency to have these verified by our staff. You can bring a completed application form, or our staff will provide one for you to fill out. DCC staff will be able to submit your application and issue your permit on the spot.

In-person verification with Age Concern or Grey Power, then sent to DCC

Step 1: If you are unable to visit a DCC Customer Services Centre or library, you can bring these three documents to the office of either Age Concern or Grey Power to be verified by their staff:

  • Your driver’s licence
  • Proof of residency, and
  • A printed and completed application form.

Please remember to bring your application form with you, as these are not provided by Age Concern or Grey Power.

Step 2: Once the staff at Age Concern or Grey Power have verified your driver’s licence, you can post or email these three documents to the DCC:

  • Your completed application form (or a photo of it if sending via email), signed by Age Concern or Grey Power staff
  • Photos of the front and back of your licence, and
  • Photos of your proof of residency.

Your permit will be posted to you.
