Lane swimming
A great way to keep fit, enjoy your own company or swim with friends. Lane swimming is available in either the main pool or the dive/lap pool.
- Monday - Friday 5.30am-9.30pm
- Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm
The main pool is long course (50m) on:
- Monday mornings 5.30am - 8.30am
- Thursday mornings 5.30am - 8.15am
- Saturday mornings 7am - 8.15am
Please remember your lane swimming etiquette
- Pick a lane according to your ability
- Keep left and never stop in the middle of a lane
- Avoid drills in fast lanes when busy
Aqua jogging
Aqua jogging has become an increasingly popular form of exercise over recent years. It is beneficial for both fitness training and injury rehabilitation and prevention.
Aqua jogging is available in either the dive/lap pool or the old dive pool.
If you can only access the dive/lap pool via the descending stairs then contact us for timetable information.
Aqua Jogging belts & dumbbells are provided on poolside for customers to use free of charge.

Kayaks
Kayaks are available for individuals and groups to hire. These must be booked through the Programme Co-ordinator. We have kayaks suitable for beginners right through to boats suitable for kayak rolling (Cyclone). Spray skirts are also available to hire for the Cyclone model.
Kayak rolling sessions
- Wednesdays and Fridays, 7.30am - 9am.
- Normal pool entry applies plus an additional charge for the first 14 kayak hires. Note: Moana Pool have a maximum of 14 kayaks to hire, negotiation amongst participants re use of kayaks after fee is paid is up to them.
- Kayak and spray skirt hire is an additional charge plus normal pool entry.
- There is a maximum of 15 kayaks in the water at one time and the hired Moana Pool kayaks get preference.
- Please note no instructor is provided for these sessions by Moana Pool.
