This bylaw explains the rules controlling liquor in public places. Reviewed and Amended in December 2016.

Beauty Therapists', Tattooists' and Skin Piercers' Bylaw
The purpose of this bylaw is to protect, promote and maintain public health and safety by requiring any person undertaking beauty therapy, tattooing and skin-piercing services to be registered and to comply with all requirements in this bylaw.

Camping Control Bylaw
The purpose of this bylaw is to protect, promote, and maintain public health and safety by regulating freedom camping within the district; and restrict freedom camping in public places within the district.

Dog Control Bylaw
This bylaw covers all aspects of dog control in the City including registration fees, prohibited places for dogs, control of dogs and exercise areas for dogs.

Keeping of Animals Bylaw
To protect the public from nuisance and to protect, promote and maintain public health and safety by controlling the keeping of animals and birds within the residential district. This Bylaw does not apply to dogs.

Reserves and Beaches Bylaw
The purpose of this Bylaw is to provide for public safety and the management and control of reserves and beaches vested in, administered by or under the control of the Dunedin City Council.
Restriction of Traffic Bylaw
The purpose of this bylaw is to prevent damage to the surface of unformed legal roads.
Restriction of Traffic on part of Halfway Bush Road and Friends Hill Road
To prevent damage to the access track that links the maintained formations of Halfway Bush Road and Friends Hill Road in order to protect the water main under the track.
Roading Bylaw
This bylaw applies to footpaths and roads in Dunedin City.

Speed Limits Bylaw
The Speed Limits Bylaw was repealed and replaced by the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2022. This was formally revoked by Council on 8 November 2022.

The Stormwater Quality Bylaw 2020 manages and regulates discharges to the stormwater system.
