My name is Andrew Simms. I grew up in Dunedin attending Grants Braes, Tahuna and Bayfield High School. While studying part time at Otago University, I started working at Moller Motors in Crawford St and from that beginning went on to build one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful motor companies.

I have three children aged 13, 10 and 8. Our family lives at East Taieri in an historic home built in 1912. We have two Border Collies, two kune kune pigs, seven Alpacas, seven sheep, ten chickens and two rabbits. I coach junior cricket at Taieri Cricket Club and show flowers competitively, particularly dahlias and roses.

We love Dunedin and Otago. I passionately believe in a much brighter and more vibrant future for Dunedin with strong leadership in council. My only goal is to build a better Dunedin for our children and our grandchildren.
