Plastic Free July is a challenge, a global movement that gets us thinking about the amount of plastic in our lives.
This Plastic Free July we’ve got some simple tips to help you reduce the amount of single use plastic you consume:
- Use a reusable coffee cup and water bottle.
- Buy items in glass, cardboard or cans rather than plastic.
- Reuse jars and containers instead of putting them in the recycling.
- Donate glass jars to groups who make jams for foodbanks.
- Make your own beauty or cleaning products and package them in glass jars. These can make great gifts.
- Look for brands that offer refill stations so you can reuse bottles or containers.
- If soft drinks are regularly on your shopping list, a soda maker could be a good investment.
- Consider buying drinks in aluminium cans, these are recycled back into cans
