Otago Peninsula Biodiversity Group
The Otago Peninsula Biodiversity Group (OPBG) has been set up by the local community to facilitate the removal of animal pests on the Otago Peninsula to protect the area’s biodiversity, lifestyle, and economic values. There are many ways that residents of the Otago Peninsula and Dunedin City can get involved.

Save The Otago Peninsula Inc Society (STOP)
Protecting and enhancing the natural environment of the Otago Peninsula. Get involved with one of STOP’s working bee sessions at the beautiful Smiths Creek restoration area. These run every Tuesday 9.30–12pm and Sunday 10.30am–1pm. There are volunteer tasks for all levels of abilities and skills. STOP can also host working bees for groups who would like to attend on another day, just get in touch with the organisation.

Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust
Saving yellow-eyed penguin by restoring coastal forest habitat and controlling predators. There are frequent workdays involving clearing, planting and maintaining areas of coastal penguin habitat.
