Barbara Olah (Deputy Chair)

I have been a Dunedin resident for over 15 years, with the last 10 years living in West Harbour. I am a career firefighter / station officer with 20 years’ service. I am also a partner and mum to a 7-year-old boy and a parent representative on the Port Chalmers School PTA.

I am passionate about our city and proud to call our beautiful harbourside community home, after spending many years living in other parts of our country and the world. My interest areas are emergency management, especially community disaster resilience, economic development that delivers for our communities and the protection of our unique and invaluable natural and historic assets for us and for future generations.

I believe residents need to have a strong voice in local decision-making and am honoured to serve and advocate for West Harbour on the Community Board.
