About this track

A great excursion to the top of Harbour Cone. A steep climb in places but the track provides an excellent reward to the intrepid hiker with panoramic views of the peninsula. From Bacon Street, follow the markers across farmland and up to Highcliff Road. Cross Highcliff Road and continue up to Coffee Rock for a well-earned break before making the ascent to the summit of Harbour Cone. From the summit you can follow the markers down to Highcliff Road and then down a fence line for a quick return to the start of the trail.

There are several options to access Harbour Cone.

From Company Bay:

From Broad Bay:

You can also connect from Hoopers Inlet to Hereweka via the Highcliff Road and Hoopers Inlet Track and Nyhon Tracks.
