Submissions that the DCC are currently working on
Submissions are an opportunity for Council to express their views and perspectives on proposals by central government or other stakeholder organisations, for example, Otago Regional Council and the University of Otago.
These views may be in support of or in opposition to parts or all of a proposal. Proposals are presented in various forms, such as a parliamentary Bill, an amendment to regulation, or an organisational review. Council may choose to submit during a formal consultation process and can do this via a written submission or in person through a delegate.
When Council decides to make a submission, the process is overseen by DCC staff. If you would like to make a submission regarding any of the items listed here, please refer to the public feedback details provided in each consultation document.
