Dog exercise areas
There are several areas in the city that have been created specifically as dog exercise areas. Your dog does not necessarily have to be on a leash in these areas, but you have to keep it under control. There are bins provided for droppings.
The dog parks are at:
- Rotary Park, Highcliff Road, Waverley
- Forrester Park - Norwood Street, Normanby
- Cemetery Road - East Taieri
- Shand Park - Green Island
- Wakari Road - Wakari
- Kew Park - Forbury Corner
Other places you can take your dog
Dogs are allowed on the tracks and reserves listed below. Unless stated otherwise, your dog does not have to be on a leash, but it must be under your control. Don't forget to clean up all droppings and take them with you!
