Temporary usage of vacant shops

Aim

• To use vacant shops and create brighter, better used spaces in the retail centre
• To encourage different groups of people to visit the retail centre

The proposal includes

• A series of art exhibitions in vacant shops in the retail centre

Status

• Exhibitors from the Dunedin School of Art at Otago Polytechnic, and from the Otago Polytechnic Design School have been pleased with the interest stirred by their work. Other individuals have expressed an interest in exhibiting their artworks, or to use the spaces for entrepreneurial projects.
