Dunedin City Council – Kaunihera-a-rohe o Otepoti

Grants allocated in September 2025

In September 2025, the Dunedin City Council (DCC) allocated a total of $430,182.56 in grants from the following grant funds (see below).

The allocations include both DCC-funded grants, Creative Communities Scheme and Waste Minimisation grants (administered by the DCC on behalf of Creative New Zealand and the Ministry for the Environment respectively).

Biodiversity

The Otago Peninsula Eco Restoration Alliance (OPERA) Contribute to the cost of traps and bait stations to reduce predator pressure within covenant. $2,000.00
Blueskin Amenities Society Support the purchase of 840 ecologically appropriate plants to revegetate a section of the Waitati Cycle Trail. $2,000.00
Rhys Millar Support purchase of plants and guards for restoration of floodplain. $4,650.00
Sorrel O'Connell-Milne Support purchase of plants for the revegetation of stormwater flow entering Tomahawk Lagoon. $1,391.03
