Puaka Matariki Festival Grants – Applications Now Closed

Rere te mihi ki a koutou katoa – heartfelt thanks to everyone who applied for this year’s Puaka Matariki Festival grants!

With the 2025 Puaka Matariki Festival now complete, we’d like to extend our gratitude to all the successful applicants who brought their creative, community-driven proposals to life. The events were a true reflection of the kaupapa of Puaka Matariki – honouring the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward to the future. It’s been an inspiring and vibrant celebration, and we thank all those involved for their contributions.

Looking Ahead to 2026

If you missed this round of funding, don’t worry – we’re already planning for next year! The 2026 Puaka Matariki Festival will take place from 4-25 July 2026, with the National Holiday on 10 July 2026.

We encourage you to start thinking about your proposals now, as applications for the 2026 grant round will open on 1 March 2026.
