A Big Shout Out to Volunteers!

Where would we be without volunteers?

Hundreds of volunteers help support Dunedin City Council services and the many festivals and festivities for which our beautiful city has become known.

Whether supporting Dunedin Public Libraries, Dunedin Botanic Garden, our many parks and recreational spaces, or any one of the many annual events the city hosts -- we simply couldn’t do it all without the help of volunteers!

This week Dunedin City Council is joining organisations across the motu to mark National Volunteer Week Aotearoa Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu (14-20 June) and celebrating some of the hometown heroes and heroines who help to make our city a wonderful place to live, work, and play!

Of course, it is not just our own volunteers who make a difference; there are coaches and caregivers, community builders, and environmental champions who give their time and energy to a range of charities and causes, helping ensure Ōtepoti-Dunedin continues to be a welcoming, caring, and resilient community.

A big, bold thank you to you all!
