Why should I get the free DCC Kerbside Collection app?
The free DCC Kerbside Collection app was upgraded in June 2024, replacing the previous app. It shows you what items go into each of the four DCC kerbside bins. Plus, the app can give you collection day reminders, kerbside news such as snow day delays or any changes to collection days. Use it to tell the DCC if your bin hasn’t been collected, if one of your bins has gone missing or needs repair, and more.
The new DCC Kerbside Collection app is available free from Google Play or the App Store.

Why did we need a new DCC Kerbside Collection app?
The new DCC Kerbside Collection app is able to show all four kerbside bins, their collection schedule, plus information about sorting waste into bins correctly, waste disposal options and requests for the DCC to collected missed bins, replace/repair broken bins and more.
The old app would have required a significant upgrade to provide that information. It was more efficient to replace the old app with one already being used in other New Zealand regions that have recently adopted similar kerbside collection services (e.g., Tauranga, Central Otago).
