Parking permits

There are a number of parking permits available for different parking needs around Dunedin.

If you think you need a permit for your planned parking use and can’t find the information you need on this page, call us on 03 477 4000 or email us dcc@dcc.govt.nz.

Parking permits

Permits are also used for reserving parking areas for building work or road work purposes, or if you need to park in an area to move furniture, objects etc. These are only available for goods vehicles except in exceptional circumstances.

75+ Parking Vehicle Permit

If you are 75 years old or over, you can apply for a permit that allows you to park for free in Pay By Plate on-street parking spaces and off-street car parks around the city.
