Permits are also used for reserving parking areas for building work or road work purposes, or if you need to park in an area to move furniture, objects etc. These are only available for goods vehicles except in exceptional circumstances.
Permits are available to service providers (builders, scaffolders, electricians etc) for minimum of 1/2 day and a maximum of up to one month. Half day permits are half the price of full day permits.
You can apply for a parking permit on the day required at Customer Services on the Ground Floor of the Civic Centre. For periods in excess of one month a written application may be required.

Temporary parking permits
These permits are issued on a case-by-case basis for short term use by not-for-profit organisations and groups (not available for individuals).
All applications must be made in writing, and include the organisations letterhead (if available), at least two weeks prior.
