In exercise of the power contained in Section 342(1)(a) of the Local Government Act 1974 and in accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the said Act, public notice is hereby given that the Dunedin City Council being the Local Authority having control of the roads in the City of Dunedin, proposes to stop a part of Neill Street, Abbotsford, shown as Sections 1 and 2 SO 619506.
EXPLANATION
The above part of road is unformed and is not utilised for public access. It is superfluous to the Dunedin City Council’s legal and physical road requirements and is not required for present or future road purposes. Sections 1 and 2 are currently partially occupied by the property at 26 Neill Street, Abbotsford. The area of Section 1 is 178m² approximately and the area of Section 2 is 4m² approximately.
PURPOSE
Sections 1 and 2 will be sold to the owner of the adjoining property at 26 Neill Street (Part Lot 1 Block XXV Deeds Plan 587) and will be amalgamated with Record of Title OT324/122.
To be consistent with the adjoining properties, Sections 1 and 2 will assume the same land use zoning under the proposed Dunedin City District Plan (2GP) as the adjoining property and their use will be in accordance with the terms and provisions of this zone.
