My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area. I am also standing for Mayor.
We need new faces and new energy around the council table to drive a better future for Dunedin.
My immediate priorities are: Better fiscal decisions driving lower rates rises and lower debt; Ending unsheltered homelessness in Dunedin. No more excuses. Dunedin is still small enough to care about every single person in our community; Fearless advocating to Central Government on regional development, the hospital and polytechnic; Restoring your trust in council with open and transparent governance; Ending the expenditure of $92.4M on the Smooth Hill Landfill when cheaper and safer options exist; Adopting an immediate engineering solution to split the catchment and protect South Dunedin from flooding; Bringing all sectors of Dunedin together. Reestablish our regional leadership role.
