GILBERT Kevin - Candidate profile

Affiliation: Independent
My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area.
I have spent my first term immersing myself in the responsibilities of a dedicated councillor, actively engaging with the community. My 20 years of business experience have been instrumental in guiding my decisions, alongside my commitment to financial, social, and environmental sustainability.
I have served as the Deputy Chair of the Strategy, Planning and Engagement Committee, chaired various hearings, served as a Resource Management Commissioner, and have been an active member of the Saddle Hill Community, Otago Settlers Association, and Toitū Settlers Museum Boards.
My community involvement extends beyond my official duties, as part of the organising committee for Dunedin’s local Supper Club charity; organising the food and beverage for the Community Christmas Dinner; and founding the Food Equity and Education Dunedin charity.
I seek your support to continue the progress we have made and to help drive Dunedin towards a vibrant future that encompasses financial, social, and environmental sustainability.
